Our first day in PCB the locals were recommending this place and it did not disappoint! Small group, the Blue Ribbon Healers, playing great live music on Sunday nights. Had the gumbo and shrimp poBoy and both were delicious! Very small, informal, and got right in with no wait

The raw oysters, fried green tomatoes and fried shrimp were all great!! Tried the gumbo after reading the other great reviews and was a little disappointed. It was lacking heat and only had sausage and chicken in it which was disappointing when you are surrounded by such great fresh seafood. The rice was also undercooked and crunchy. The service and atmosphere were lacking. But to the server's credit I believe their POS system may have been down. If we are ever in the area we would return for a second visit.

Great bar and grill. The baked cajun oysters were the second best that I had in pcb and the shrimp po' boy was very good. The only complaint I had was too much bread on the po boy and not enough "voodoo" sauce.

3rd time at Panama City beach and just found this place! Unbelievably good!!! The Rangoon is in my top ten items of all time. The boudin balls, fried green tomatoes and fried pickles are just as good. Had the chef special of some Cajun chicken pasta that 2 others had to order after they tried mine. We had a fantastic meal for 6 adults and 4 kids (with beers) and spent just over $100. You are missing out on a fantastic experience if you skip this place!!! ENJOY

Great Gumbo! More of a bar, defiantly casual. Decent beer selection, I would recommend it but our bartender/waiter was very rude. A unprofessional looking guy with a scrubby beard and face tattoos.

Awesome service, food and band!!! Totally coming back! The shrimp skewers were awesome!
(5)Tara J.
Great food! The raw oysters were awesome!!! The fried shrimp was also really good. Live music and great atmosphere with superb service!
(5)Mike P.
Gumbo fantastic. Shrimp po boy skimpy. But they fixed it real nice and worth another try. Live music is a big plus

Meh!!! Sooo ordered fried pickles (my personal favorite when I go anywhere). They were tasty but needs to be crispier they were probably not left in the dryer long enough. hubby ordered salad... It looked so sad it was basically iceberg lettuce tomatoes and chicken with packaged blue cheese. He says it tasted fresh. But it did not look appetizing at all. I ordered the steak sandwich with fries. Once again meh. Fried were a bit cold and not crispy. Not this is the trick, they have this sauce, pretty tasty called voodoo sauce, they just put that on everything and walla. So all in all if you're hungry then they have food, if you're looking for something different and outstanding this might not be your place. In all fairness though we did not have oysters, jambalaya, or gumbo which I think are their strong suits. They also had live music and great prices, our total was 27.

Very good food at a reasonable price!!! Who dat ragoons were amazing (but messy.) Definitely has a local feel (not fancy/high class) and not the typical tourist trap. The shrimp here are FRESH, BIG, and seasoned perfectly. You also get a bunch on your order (I counted 14 on my plate still and I had already munched down a few.) Beer prices aren't ridiculously priced either ($1.50 to $3 for domestic) Our waitress was really nice and down to earth also. She talked to us for a few minutes about just random things and didn't feel like she was just trying to work you for a better tip. I don't remember her name to give her a shoutout. (My bad) Definitely gained a few pounds staying across from this place for a week.

I went in on a saturday, there were a couple parties, but being alone, I sat at the bar that wasn't busy. There were asses in seats, but nothing overwhelming. I waited about 12 minutes to get a beer, that wasn't too bad, I figured they would get to it eventually, and they did, I ordered a dozen raw oysters, the woman next to me ordered the fried cheese, her order came out around 7-10 minutes later, my oysters took 45 minutes for the slacker in the corner of the bar to finally finish them, I ate them within about 4 mins. and left, I was very disappointed with the service, and probably won't go back any time soon.

Last night for Halloween; they were very busy. The gumbo was great but my Nawlins sandwich barely had any steak on it & hardly any sauce; mostly bread; disappointing as the food here is usually very good.

Poor communication on some oysters that were ordered, first the manager came to discuss why they couldn't prepare them way my friend wanted them, she was very rude. We then decided to cancel the entire tables order. We waited on a check to pay for our drinks and appetizers. They had the nerve to still bring our food out and attempt to put it on the table, we refused it. Finally the manager came again and try to say we HAD to pay for the food and she would be glad to put it in Togo boxes. The owner was at the table by now, she also tried to force us to pay for the food. Horrible customer service, horrible management, horrible owners...

Went for the first time tonight. Loved it. I got the fish tacos w/ a side of potato salad and it was delicious. My wife got a shrimp bisque type of thing and it rocked too. Our waitress was kind of goofy, but then we're a little goofy, so that's good. Happy Hour, 3-7 I think? Good music, as already mentioned.
(5)Robin C.
My favorite dish is the shrimp grits. Jambalaya is made like my cajun daddy's ! Baked potato salad is unique & delicious !
(5)Leslie B.
Great food! The gumbo is filled with tender chicken and spicy sausage pieces .. But not too spicy! The bayou shrimp are fried and tossed in their own unique sauce. Really good, too! We enjoyed the happy hour wine special on Wednesday and the live music.

Pretty good Cajun food if you order the right thing. We started with the boudin balls and fried pepper Jack app. They were both good. The boudin balls are a must have if you come here. Wish I would have tried the Rangoon over the cheese though because they seemed like they were frozen bought. The fried entrees we had were very greasy and just barely so so. (Fried shrimp & oysters) the Cajun rice side dish I ordered was box made and tasteless. I was actually pissed at how pitiful it was...... BUT The shrimp and grits were amazing as well as the gumbo. The grits had white cheeses in them with juicey shrimp, a Cajun sauce/gravy, and a lobster claw on top for looks and for the delicate meat that ended the meal on a high note. The gumbo had tender slow cooked chicken, sausage, & seasonings in a flavor packed broth over rice. It was served with a buttery slice of French bread that I could have eaten the whole loaf of! I would go back considering we love Cajun food and I now know what to do & don't here.

YES. YES. YES. LOVE this place!!!! I am a Louisiana girl who moved to PC a couple of years ago. This is one of my all-time favorite places to eat in PC. DELICIOUS sandwiches... especially the shrimp po-boy! You HAVE to get the boudain balls. I have never had a batch that wasn't perfect with such a perfectly crispy outer layer. Oh yum. Super fun place to go watch the Saints play on football Sundays. They give out free shots or cups or goodies every now and then and do $5 pitchers of domestic draft during games. I can't say too many good things about this place.... and now I am hungry! The first time I went, I got the two doors confused and really thought this was a sketchy hole-in-the-wall, but a football/college friend of mine who also lives here now had highly recommended it. I am so glad that I popped in and found this gem. Super cool.
(5)Sugar P.
The music is fun; The food, not so much. Our food was luke warm & not all that tasty. The service & band could not be more friendly. It looks like a great place to listen to music, dance & drink.
(3)Chad M.
Great, huge oysters. The boudin balls & Rangoon were awesome. The Voodoo sauce rocks!!!
(4)Neil W.
Only so so service. Fried platter was excellent, but the tartar sauce served in fast food style packages was a big turn off. We had sides of green beans and Cajun rice which were very bland and tasteless. I think they're more interested in being a tourist attraction than serving good food.
(3)Channing E.
Servers are friendly but that's about it here. Growing up in Mobile Alabama I am very accustom to authentic Cajun cuisine and this place is NOT it. They have the verbiage down but unfortunately not the recipes. After a pound of salt my crawfish étouffée was edible. The rice was so bland and some underdone. Who has to add salt to a roux at the table! Flavors just weren't there. Wouldn't come back.
(1)Ninja R.
Great food, atmosphere, & service. Being from Louisiana I was not sure what to expect from a Cajun restaurant in Florida but we hat a great time. Live music was playing while we ate. The lobster & shrimp grits hit the spot.
(5)Sheila C.
Omg just ate here for our first time, Jourdan and Kelly were great servers!!!!! Service and food were outstanding, best on the beach!! ;go see jourdan for her fantastic personality!!!!! U go girl!!!! We will definitely be regulars
(5)Elaine H.
Overrated based on my experience. While my entrée was good, the sides were forgettable and the appetizer only okay. Service was poor. She was more focused on hurrying through our interaction than on listening to my order. The music was nice though. Maybe just go here for drinks and apps and go to Davids snoballs for excellent food instead.
(3)Bradley C.
A local PCB resident recommended it to me, and I was not disappointed. The food is really tasty, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I was in the city for 6 days and ate here twice. Great food and a great experience!
(5)Diana V.
Great food and awesome service! Really nice place for family gathering or to watch sports
(5)gary h.
The gumbo was really good! Since it was Monday they had red beans and rice . Again really good! Great prices and service. The band was also cool! If you are a LSU or NOLA FAN You will be home here!
(5)Dot V.
This is a great place with good food. Happy Hour draft was only $1, imagine that. Hubby got the fried shrimp basket and I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. The bun was so fresh and good. We were there for Happy Hour on Sunday. A really good band called the Blue Ribbon Healers were performing. They were great. It's Crawfish season so everyone was ordering huge platters of Crawfish. I don't know how to eat them so I passed on that.
(3)Will A.
I expected the food to be more authentic. The food we had did not appear to be home cooked. Service was adequate but since we were one of three tables in the restaurant the server could have been a little more attentive. I'm sure I'll give them another opportunity at some point but I don't have high expectations.

Adam, is one of the best mixologists I've seen outside of vegas..i love my brother.. Thanks for making me feel at home
(5)Dj S.
Wow where should I start with this poor excuse for a Cajun restaurant. I've lived in Louisiana for several years and this is a insult to anything Cajun. I came here based on yelp reviews which were completely false. My guess is all these reviews were probably written by employees or the owners. For starters the tea was clear, basically sugar water. We order fried shrimp and oysters. The sides were cheese grits and Cajun fries. After waiting 30+ minutes, talk about a major let down. The only thing that was decent was the shrimp. Oysters were over cooked and tasted a bit spoiled. My cheese grits were floating in grease and had a chunk of strange mystery meat in it. I hate it when restaurants throw creole seasoning on everything and call it Cajun. Please avoid this place and save your money for a better restaurant.

Dat Cajun place for the authentic Cajun experience Delicious gumbo & lunch specials every day . The cold beer baked oysters and awsome staff will have you coming back for more.
(4)Kurt B.
They fried the fish we caught on the Jubilee fishing boat. Trudy and her staff are awsome. Food was fantastic as well as the live band.
(5)Charles W.
I had the oyster po' boy, the oysters were perfect but the sandwich was small compared to other local joints and had too much mayo. The gouda cheese grits were epic and they had a great musician.
(3)David B.
This is my absolute favorite "Go To" place after work. They have daily entree specials that are reasonably priced and alway delicious. On Friday nights after 6pm they put on a good old fashioned crawfish boil while they are in season. Very friendly atmosphere and attentive wait staff. Live music after 6pm.
(4)Sean R.
Awesome place!!! Owner was awesome. I can tell he loves his job. He loves his customers and he does off the wall stuff. Blowing train horn, chickens, cow bells and just enjoying life!!! I will def be back
(5)Angie C.
Best cajun food in Panama City, good beer selection, fun casual atmospher. I will go back again and again.
(4)Josh S.
Eclectic crowd and delicious PoBoy sandwiches make this place worth a visit. They had a live band, friendly staff and great food!
(4)Mad H.
OMG. We love this place and ate here four times during our trip. The apps are out of this world and I ate so much Voodoo sauce that I bleed it.
(5)Chastity E.
I have been to this place multiple times and had great service and fantastic food every time! I recommend this place to everyone, you won't be disappointed at all. Lots of TVs so you won't miss your favorite sport while eating.
(5)Candice B.
We have been here many times for the crawfish boil and enjoyed it very much. Tonight the service was poor and the fried shrimp tasted like it was fried in the same oil as the hot dogs. We will return but only for the crawfish boil.
(3)John L.
Killer Gumbo, abundant quantities of chicken, sausage in a dark roux with just enough heat.
(4)Ben S.
First time visitor. Looking for a place to eat close to my condo and saw this place while driving by. Walked right in and found a seat. Mostly locals (I think). Not much for ambience, but hey - I'm open for new things. Food is mostly fried appetizers, sandwiches and gumbo - so low key. Had the "who dat rangoons" and half sandwich and cup of gumbo. Having been to Nola many times, I can tell you w experience that this was good food. Again, not much for ambiance - but don't be scared away. Get in there and get the gumbo!!
(4)Valerie C.
This place is awesome!!! Best gumbo Ever, and Hubby is still raving about the redbeans and rice, both were appetizers. The shrimp, fried and blackened are the best we have had in PCB!! Not to mention that is reasonably priced too!! We will return frequently and Highly recommend that you try it!!
(5)Chad D.
Most righteous! Authentic Cajun! C'est si bon!
(5)Shelly S.
This place is Awesome ! Great Food and staff ! We had the Monday Special Red beans and rice .
(5)Jeff P.
If you are looking for authentic cajun food and dont want to drive 4 hrs to Louisiana, look no further! Dat Cajun Place is as real as it gets! Try the Gumbo and some Abita Beers!
(5)Craig J.
Had oyster po boy. Was very well cooked server was great. Beer selection was fair. Definitely recommend this place.
(4)Amber M.
I loved this place so much we ate there three times during our week stay. Cheap beer, great oysters and great service!
(5)Kells B.
We went here for lunch yesterday. We started with a dozen raw, and they were great! I had gumbo, which was fantastic as the roux was done perfectly. My husband had the chef's special, which was navy beans and rice. I thought him a fool for ordering it until I tried it. Well done! I love Cajun food if it's done right, and these folks do i right....will be attending their crawfish boil tonight. Yeah, it's a hole in the wall. Actually, it's a hole in the wall with really good food!
(5)Landon S.
great food, great music! Sad we missed crawfish friday night. Gumbo and fried green tomatoes were the real deal!
(5)Josh H.
Great cajun food, even better people! A must try while at the beach! Be sure to try the gumbo. It's as authentic as it gets. Sandwiches are great to have "to-go" to munch on at the beach with a bag of Zapps chips. Don't miss their Friday night crawfish boils with an ice cold beer!
(5)Jason K.
This place has some of the best Gumbo I have had outside Louisiana!! I will make sure to stop by every time I come back to Panama City!
